Why bakers weigh ingredients
The same cup of flour can weigh anywhere from about 110 to 150 grams depending on how it is filled. That difference is the most common reason cookies spread too much or cakes turn out dry. A digital scale removes the guesswork and means fewer dishes, since you can measure everything into one bowl.

- 1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons
- 1 US cup = 236.6 milliliters
- 1 ounce (weight) = 28.35 grams
